About Link and Lace

Fashion, Footwear and the Curious Things People Wear

Last updated: 20 June 2026

Link and Lace is an independent fashion and footwear blog based in London.

We cover shoes, boots, accessories, menswear, womenswear, British style, designer fashion, sustainable-fashion claims,
workplace dress codes, celebrity trends and the wonderfully strange language used to persuade people that a £700
handbag represents personal growth.

Our purpose is simple: to make fashion interesting, useful and occasionally funny.

Fashion can be beautiful, inventive and expressive. It can also involve selling a plain white T-shirt for £280 because
somebody photographed it beside a concrete wall in Milan. Link and Lace covers both sides of the wardrobe.

What We Publish

Our editorial content may include:

Fashion news and commentary.

Footwear guides and shoe-care advice.

Designer and luxury-fashion coverage.

British heritage brands and manufacturing.

Wedding attire and dress-code guides.

Workplace and commuter fashion.

Sustainable and ethical-fashion discussions.

Product roundups and buying guides.

Humorous commentary and satire.

Opinion columns.

Links to retailers, manufacturers and other independent websites.

Some articles are practical. Some are opinionated. Some gently tug at the loose thread hanging from the fashion
industry’s most expensive jumper.

Our Editorial Approach

We aim to publish material that is clear, entertaining and useful.

Opinions expressed by individual contributors belong to those contributors and do not necessarily represent the
opinions of every writer, editor, advertiser or commercial partner associated with Link and Lace.

Fashion is subjective. One person’s timeless Chelsea boot is another person’s urgent reminder of an office Christmas
party. We welcome disagreement, provided it is expressed lawfully and respectfully.

We make reasonable efforts to check factual claims before publication. Fashion prices, availability, product
specifications, promotional offers, business ownership and retailer policies can change without warning. Readers
should verify important information directly with the relevant retailer, designer, manufacturer or service provider
before making a purchase.

Reviews, Recommendations and Commercial Relationships

Link and Lace may discuss products, brands, shops and services.

Some articles may contain affiliate links. This means that Link and Lace may receive a commission when a reader
follows a link and completes a qualifying purchase. This normally does not increase the price paid by the reader.

We may also publish sponsored articles, advertisements, supplied-product reviews or other commercial content. Where
legally required and reasonably practicable, commercial relationships will be identified using labels such as:

Sponsored

Paid Partnership

Affiliate Link

Product Supplied for Review

Payment, commission or receipt of a product does not guarantee favourable coverage.

Readers should always make buying decisions based on their own requirements, budget, research and judgement. A shoe
described as “ideal for walking” by a marketing department may still regard the average human heel as an old enemy.

Corrections

We welcome genuine correction requests.

Please identify the article, the disputed statement and any reliable supporting evidence. We will review reasonable
requests and correct material errors where appropriate.

We are not obliged to remove accurate reporting merely because it is inconvenient, unfashionable or clashes with
somebody’s preferred brand narrative.

Comments and Community Participation

Where commenting is available, readers are welcome to contribute.

Comments may be moderated, edited, delayed or removed when they contain unlawful material, harassment, threats, spam,
impersonation, personal information, copyright infringement, irrelevant promotion or material that substantially
disrupts discussion.

Publication of a comment does not mean Link and Lace endorses it.

A Final Word From the Wardrobe

Link and Lace believes style should be examined rather than worshipped.

We appreciate craftsmanship, originality and clothes that survive more than one season. We are less impressed by
marketing copy suggesting that buying beige trousers will restore balance to the universe.

Welcome to Link and Lace, where fashion is taken seriously enough to research and lightly enough to enjoy.
